Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Cropping only removes pixels outside the selection — the kept area keeps its original resolution. Re-encoding to JPG can add slight compression, so use PNG if you need lossless.
What aspect ratio should I use for social media?
1:1 for Instagram feed, 4:5 for Instagram portrait, 9:16 for stories and reels, 16:9 for YouTube thumbnails, 1.91:1 for link previews.
