OzTools is built privacy-first. Most tools run entirely in your browser and never upload your files or input to our servers.

Browser-side processing
The large majority of OzTools tools — calculators, converters, text and image utilities, PDF tools — process everything locally on your device. The data you enter is not transmitted to us and is not stored.
A small number of tools call an external service to do their job (for example the AI writing tools, the email checker's mail-server lookup, and the business finder's public map data). Those requests are proxied through our server and are not logged with your input beyond what is needed to return a result.
Video downloads
Video download links are processed on our server. If direct Instagram extraction fails, we send the public post or Reel URL to SnapSave to retrieve the media. Tracking parameters are removed first; we do not send your Instagram login or cookies. Downloaded files are temporary and become eligible for cleanup after 30 minutes. Cleanup runs when subsequent download requests arrive.
Analytics
We collect limited, aggregate analytics such as page views, referrer and device type to understand which tools are useful. This never includes the content you type into a tool.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, in line with Google's own policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings.
Australian Privacy Principles
OzTools is operated from Australia and handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect only what a tool needs to function, do not sell personal information, and hold it only as long as necessary. You may request access to, or correction of, any personal information we hold about you.
